LEADERSHIP- A keynote !!

The key to successful leadership today is influence, not authority ...
How many of you have worked under people who have Influenced you, how many have shown their Authority??? Any inputs you wanna give on how a leader should behave like...

1) A Leader should possess an influential character by virtue of which he deserves and gets respect from his team members and not by mere authority.

2) A Leader should accept the responsibility when things go wrong in the same way as when he deserves applause for keeping up the right things. (It should not happen that he accepts ownership of all right things and but blame on team members for all wrong things happened).

3) A Leader should motivate his team members and always keep their spirits up and alive. Should encourage them to have fun, meanwhile making them more aware of their responsibilities too.

4) An Ideal Leader is one who has the ability to turn things/people from bad/worse to good/better. He who can not just point out negatives of things/people, but to address it and change the way to turn it right are key essentials.

5) Last but not the least, A Leader should not merely just wish for his own/ project-wise growth, but in parallel also help people under him to become good LEADERS. This what determines SUCCESS of an individual in full.

Leadership and success cannot just happen individualistic, but they can only be achieved collectively and not without the help of people around you

(This is my honest opinion put-up based on my experience working under several heads of different accounts. These are still my learning experiences and yet to address them practically in coming times. I might still lack expertise or experience to write on such topics yet)

Prayers and the Pursuit of Happiness :)

Well, the article may try to help us with the answer.
Has Prayer got to do something with Happiness? Is there any relation between the both?
What do we think Happiness is? Well, the article may try to help us with the answer.
=============================================================================
Happiness, as per my definition is a feeling of satisfaction achieved when you have got what you had wished for and having spent your efforts, energy and time in that direction. Happiness cannot be measured but only felt and expressed. Can it be otherwise explained?
Richness in terms of Money can be measured but we falsely and firmly believe in Money giving us happiness. It is not exactly that Money gives us happiness and pleasure but it is our belief in the earlier statement which make us feel better when we grow richer in terms of money and consider ourselves happier.
Happiness- It is the state of mind without worries and tensions of the world. It is the state of experiencing freedJm and jJy without prJblems. Freedom can be said to be attained when we come out of our limits and boundaries. Joys are our expressions. It is not someone who needs to dictate us all the time; we are dictated by our mind. Whatever the direction the mind says, the body follows. The actions are dictated by the thoughts. The thoughts are influenced by surroundings and controlled by the beliefs. The beliefs are the pillars of life. They are the hopes growing stronger and stronger with the growth of our physical age.
“Existence of God” is one such belief the majority of the world believe in. We believe in this even though nobody has ever achieved to prove it. The way to approach and get closer to this belief is “Prayer”.
There can be no person without problems or worries, except the little innocent children. They are the happiest group among people of all age. For they have no responsibilities and no problems. They need not care about others for anything and everything they do. They put their complete responsibility on their parents’ and feel relaxed. Their smile and openness not only make them happy but also bring happiness to others.
In a similar way, if we can possess the child-nature within us, we can still be more happier than whatever we are. Why do we have to think or compare about others for every person is unique in his own way. We need to enjoy what we are, what we are given with, what we can do from the things what we get. A little Prayer to God could help us take off our over-whelmed responsibilities and burdens on our shoulders and we could feel there is someone to care and protect us and feel relaxed.
There is nothing like being theist or atheist, but cannot deny in believing in the existence of something which is greater than us. Let us call it as the ‘Supreme source of Energy’. There is nothing wrong in surrendering to the one who is greater than us, only to take advantage of the blessings and the energy from the source itself rather than searching for it anywhere else.
It need not essentially be chanting mantras or prayers regularly to mean that do prayers. Neither does it help much if it is done with an intention of showcasing to others. When things are done generously rather than being selfish, the outcomes are seen to be maximized. It can be said generally that, when we expect less, we be more happy. So, it is a state of achieving highness when you can still pray but asking for nothing. This can be said as the state of being connected to the source of Supremo.
There is no better thing than changing the lives of the people, serving them and help them serve others better compared to all materialistic achievements. Equally there is nothing more worse than hurting people and achieving your goals, money, positions and respect. There shall always be returns for every good deed and action that we do. However small or late the response time be, but everything has its own consequences, which one may or may not be aware of at the time of performing the action. No one can deny or under-estimate the fact that, the results we see of tomorrows are the result of today’s action of our inputs. So it is in our hands only as to see how our future should be !!
Why should we search for God or temple outside? Do special pooja(s) to please God/People ?
Why cannot we consider the place we live to be sacred enough and serving people to be the pooja, keeping our heart with purity to see it as a temple, filling energy within us as equal to see it as God and to see the work we do with sincerity to consider as real worship ??? ------  as is bath important to clean up our bodies filled with dirt and sweat, so does the a meditation can do the job of cleaning up of dirty thoughts inside us and remove sweat-like detachments and keeping it pure. I wonder why people do not give more importance to their inner-body compared to the time and efforts they spend on their outlooks.
More importantly, over the period of time, we have unknowingly groomed an enemy within us, it is the “Ego” which makes us feel the wrong/right things we do as right and see the things others do as not so right. The ingredients for its growth are money, status, property and position which we feed it with. Hiding expressions and emotions only curb our happiness which otherwise could be made surplus. To help others and take help from others is one of the easiest ways to limit your ego and share your expressions and emotions with them, to have mutual benefits. Why should one hesitate and worry to do things which he has nothing to lose and only to gain benefits ??
